1 Pick up a sink from nearby pallet and place on the spray booth rotating table. 1. Sharp edges present cut hazard to hands and arms.
2. Bending and twisting to pick sinks up off of pallet.
3. Sinks falling on feet.
4. Operator must carry sink 10-15 feet to station. 1. Provide cut resistant hand and arm protective equipment.
2. Evaluate pallet position and location for ease of product flow through work cell.
3. Require steel toe boots for foot protection.
4. Relocate pallet of sinks nearer to spray booth.
2 Place overspray guard and drain plug on sink. 1. Operator must reach to grab guard and plug and place on sink. 1. Evaluate positioning of sink to minimize reach distance.
3 Spray the sink bottom with undercoat. (must rotate sink 360 degrees for full application) 1. Operator must reach with left hand to rotate the sink.
2. Possible inhalation hazard of water-based undercoating.
3. Repetitive side-to-side motions when spraying undercoating with gun.
4. Possible eye contact from spray. 1. Evaluate positioning of sink to minimize reach distance.
2. Ensure that ventilation system is working effectively through PM program.
3. Provide balancer to reduce the weight the operator must hold and swing side-to-side.

4 Remove the overspray guard and drain plug from sink. 1. Operator must reach to grab guard and plug and remove from sink. 1. Evaluate positioning of sink to minimize reach distance.
5 Lift sink and carry it to the overhead conveyor system, placing it on a free rack. 1. Sharp edges present cut hazard to hands and arms.
2. Employee must bend and reach to pick up sink out of booth.
3. Slip hazard from water on the floor.
4. Operator must carry the sink 10-15 feet to place the sink on the conveyor.
5. Trip hazard on floor from water containment basin lip.
6. Operator must reach at or above shoulder level to place sink on the conveyor. 1. Provide cut resistant hand and arm protective equipment.
2. Evaluate turntable location and height for ease of product flow through work cell.
3. Provide anti-fatigue or spill-control matting to increase traction.
4. Evaluate booth location to minimize carrying distance.
5. Provide warning system to alert operators of lip.
6. Evaluate conveyor height for proper position.
