EMERGENCY FIELD DRILL

Task or Topic: Fire  Drill
1: Check whether escape route are clear and fire-fighting operational well. Let all staff know the basic fire equipment  operation.
2: Help employee to familiar with emergency response procedure or evacuation process in the event of fire accident.
3: Improve fire-fighting awareness to all concerned party.
4: Ensure all employee include office-based or shop floor-based recognize best evacuation route in the case of fire.
5: Calculate time period of evacuation or evaluate this fire drill to identify which area to be improved.

Topic:  Fire Drill

Fire drill process
1        Assign safety engineer active fire alarm to declare fire drill starting at 1:19pm.  
2        All shop floor-based employee stopped working, power off associated electrical equipments. Ensure naked fire was extinguished if applicable.  
3        Shop floor-based workers evacuated from work area through emergency evacuation door. Include main workplace.
4        Office-based employee evacuated from office through emergency evacuation.
5        During the evacuating, every one should shout a lot “fire…fire,.escape...escape”.
6        All employees escaped from work area already, include warehouse, work shop, office,   proceed to evacuate to muster point located near big gate entrance. Finished at 1:24pm.
7        Upon completion of evacuation, group coordinator began to conduct headcount ASAP. Ensure every personnel is accounted for. Each group coordinator recorded it clear on Roster.  The result of each group headcount is handed over to LiuLiu for review. Finished in three minutes.
8        Assign one security guard to stay in lodge and one staff stay one second floor during the period of drill. Ensure the telephone is only communicated on Emergency case.
9        Based on each group headcount, General coordinator conduct overall headcount to identify any personnel is accounted for or not. Finished in one minute.
10        The headcount process last four minutes. The whole process lasted ten minutes.
11        The general emergency coordinator declared that fire drill is over at 1:30am
12        The demo for fire extinguisher operation began at 1:35pm.

Start the Drill:

Drill Leader announce:  “This is a drill” then start the drill.  Make sure all participants understand that it is a drill.
