1.Before setting up for the job, check the condition of all electricals.

2.Make sure the machine is turned off; utilize the lockout procedure.

3.Set “stops” correctly and check the location of other “stops” to avoid pinch points.

4.Before starting machine, make sure all personnel are clear of machine and material; avoid being caught by whip-like action of pipe when the ram is activated.

5.When storing end handrails, make sure they are secured and upright so they will not fall over.

6.Do not park wagons in walkways.  Keep walkways clear of all obstacles and objects that can create slip, trip, or fall accidents.

7.Place all pipe on racks or in containers.  Keep small pieces of pipe off the floor.
