腾讯科学讯（悠悠/编译） 据英国每日邮报报道，目前，英国斯托克顿市空气燃料综合公司声称，现在能够从空气中直接提取水和二氧化碳来制造汽油。预计两年之内该公司有望建造一个商业工厂，每天制造1吨汽油燃料。

这家公司首次能够从空气中制造汽油，该创新性科学突破有望摆脱人类对逐渐减少的化石燃料的依赖。

空气燃料综合公司表示，自今年8月份以来现已从空气中提取制造了5升汽油，将空气中的二氧化碳和水蒸汽提炼合成汽油。专家称这项令人难以置信的突破性技术有望解决全球气候变化和全球日益突显的能源危机。

虽然该公司当前仍在研究探索之中，目前还需要使用国家电网的电能，但最终有望从再生资源中生产电能。预计两年之内，该公司将建造一个商业工厂，能够每天制造1吨汽油，进一步生产更多的绿色航空燃料实现更环保的航空旅行。

这项技术将空气混合氢氧化钠，接下来电解碳酸纳释放出纯净二氧化碳。之后与水中的电解氢发生反应，制造碳化氢混合物，该反应状况的差异性主要取决于所需燃料的类型。生产出来的汽油可装载到任何汽油箱，再在汽油中放入一些添加剂。这种燃料能够直接混合汽油、柴油和航空燃料。

本周，空气燃料综合公司董事长彼特-哈里森在伦敦召开的机械工程协会上透露了这项最新技术，他说：“我们正在转变可再生电能成为更通用的可存储能量形式，也就是液体运输燃料。”

我们认为到2014年底将能筹集大量资金，使用再生能源生产汽油，并实现商业运营模式。从空气中提取二氧化碳是有效地从大气层中移除主要的工业温室气体，被称为新兴绿色经济的“圣杯”。然而回收利用提取的二氧化碳成为现有发动机可使用的汽油，将潜在地改变世界环境和经济状况。

虽然该公司声称能够直接从空气中提取二氧化碳，但是当前这一提取过程成本较高，难以进入商业营利范畴，预计从空气中每提取1吨二氧化碳将需要400英镑。
