We all take care!!!


I could have saved a life that day
But I chose to look the other way.

It wasn’t that I didn’t care, 
I had the time—and I was there.

But I didn’t want to seem a fool,
Or argue over a safety rule.

I knew he’d done the job before,
If I called it wrong, he might get sore.

The chance, I closed an eye,
And with that act—I let him die.

I could have saved a life that day,
But I chose to look the other way.

Now every time I see his wife,
I’ll know I should have saved his life.

That guilt is something I must bear,
But it isn’t something you need to share.

If you see a risk that others take,
That puts their health or life at stake.

The question asked, or thing you say,
Could help them live another day.

If you see a risk and walk away.
Then I hope you never have to say:

“I could have saved a life that day,

那天我本來可以挽救一命而我卻選擇了假裝沒看見 並不是故做冷漠毫不關心當時我有時間而且也在場 但我不想讓自己像個傻瓜也不想為安全規則起爭執 我知道他以前就做過此事要是出面指正會令他不悅 姑且就睜一隻眼閉一隻眼卻眼睜睜地見他枉送性命 那天我原本可以挽救一命但我卻選擇了假裝看不見 而每當我見到他的遺孀時我懊悔當時應該伸出援手 那是我內心須承受的內疚而不是你們必須要承擔的 當眼見他人置身危險處境他們健康或性命吉凶難卜 我們不禁要問或者如是說下次還能挽救他們的生命 當你目睹危險仍轉身離去我倒希望各位永遠不必說 那天我本來可以挽救一命而我卻選擇了假裝看不見 对不起各位,这是中文翻译, 但失去了原诗的韵味.[em05]
