    Most people who had visited Dongguan had a very good impression of the city, Liu said. People’s misunderstanding of the city showed Dongguan had failed to promote a better image.

    “We have recently launched a new logo to represent Dongguan’s image and hope to change the bias by reshaping our brand,” he said.


    Dongguan, a manufacturing hub in the Pearl River Delta, is reported to have a thriving underground sex industry that caters for the city’s large population of migrant laborers.
