work-related injury and illness terms
open a door for me,then i looked up the OSHA for extra detailed content.
meanwhile , i found a better website ,the us bureau of labour statistic .
after the studying i got some insights as follows:
1 us safety stastic term involving non-fatal recordable cases rate, lost workday cases rate, days away from work case rate, restricted work activity cases rate , without lost workdays cases rate, severity rate, fatability rate.
2 recordable cases rate include lost workdays rate and days away from work case rate (including medical treatment beyond firt aid)
3 lost workday cases include days away from work case rate, restricted work activity cases rate .that is different from LTI.
4 days away from work case rate mean the severity of company's safety,it 's the key and critical metric for analysis.
5 fatability rate is also important for a company which show directly the company's safety situation
6 severity rate was calculated as N /M*200000 n=days lost(not cases) M=total work hours
200000means totals of 100 workers full day time work hours one year ,each month work for 22days,each day work for 8 hours
http://www.bls.gov/opub/cwc/archive/fall1999brief3.pdf is commendable to learn |
