指定防护因数(assigned protection factor).若 特定有害物之容许浓度值为PEL,则防护具的最
大使用浓度(maximum use concentration) MUC=APF ×PEL,在此APF即为指定防护因数.

如，甲苯的PEL＝100ppm，则指定防护因数（APF）为10的面罩只能用于现场有害物浓度小于100×10＝1000ppm的环境。
